Miss AfriCanada 2007 Zainab Godwin from Sierra Leone
Miss AfriCanada 2007 Queen, Zainab Godwin from Sierra Leone spent most of her term as the Miss AfriCanada Queen giving back to her community. At the time of her crowning she was unfortunately not able to travel, however Zainab continued to be highly involved in her community by helping start up a non profit organization Tegloma Youth Iniative whose focus is to raise funds to buy schools and goods to be sent back home to Sierra Leone.
Currently, as the Rehearsal Director for the Miss AfriCanada Pageant, Zainab has become a very important member of the Executive Board as she annually continues to give back to her community by influencing and coaching contestants in public speaking, poise and confidence in preparation for the pageant each year.
The Miss AfriCanada team is very proud of Zainab, and has used a silhouette of her image as the organizations logo.
